Does a Window Robot Clean the Frame and Track, or Only the Glass?
A window cleaning robot's glass-cleaning function does not establish that it cleans the surrounding frame or the window track. For Frewico W5600H, brush-assisted corner cleaning means added contact with the small glass area around the bumper-sensor position. Treat the frame, seals and recessed tracks as separate care tasks, following the window manufacturer's instructions.
Identify the surface beside the mark
You may see a clear pane with a dark line beneath it and call the whole area a dirty window edge. Before judging the robot's result, locate that line. A mark on the glass next to a seal and debris in a sliding track sit on different surfaces.
The glass pane is the broad surface you look through. The frame surrounds and supports it. Seals sit at joints around the glazing. A sliding window also has a track or channel associated with the moving section; not every window has this layout.
| Area you are looking at | Cleaning scope to check |
|---|---|
| Broad glass pane | The robot's approved glass-cleaning surface and setup |
| Glass beside a framed corner | Pad boundary and local brush contact |
| Frame face or seal | The window manufacturer's material-specific care instructions |
| Recessed track or channel | A separate method suitable for that window construction |
Use these names when asking for help. "Debris inside the lower sliding track" describes a different job from "a small mark on the glass beside the lower corner." You do not need to reach outside or dismantle a window to make that distinction. If you cannot see the area from a safe position, seek suitable help.
Corner-glass contact stays on the glass
At a framed corner, the robot's bumper or sensing structure meets the boundary. The main pad wipes the broad pane, but it cannot occupy the same physical position as that structure. Its boundary leaves a small local glass area that it may not fully contact.
W5600H places bristles around the bumper-sensor area. Those bristles help clean the nearby glass that the main pad may miss, supporting more complete corner cleaning. Frame shape, surface condition and setup still affect the result.

The added contact concerns the corner of the pane. It does not establish that the brush reaches into a recessed track, wipes the frame face or cleans the seals. A bumper touching the frame is also different from a cleaning pad wiping that frame.
The edge-brush mechanism guide explains the local contact geometry. Keep that geometry in mind when reading a phrase such as "edge cleaning": ask which surface receives the cleaning contact.
Keep the remaining window work separate
After you retrieve the robot according to its manual, assess the glass result and the surrounding window parts as separate tasks. A clean pane can coexist with debris in a track. That observation alone does not show that the corner brush failed, because the track lies outside the glass-cleaning function described here.
For the surrounding parts, consult the window manufacturer's care guidance before choosing tools or liquids. Glass-cleaning instructions do not automatically apply to painted frame finishes, seals or moving hardware. This article does not prescribe a chemical or a track-cleaning tool for an unidentified window.
Do not place or steer the robot into a channel to try to clean it. Use W5600H within its exact-model instructions. A corner brush does not extend the machine's approved use to other window components.
For the broader division between robot-assisted wiping and work you still handle, read robot versus manual cleaning. If the remaining mark is on the pane itself, the close-to-frame guide addresses glass contact beside the boundary.
Frequently asked questions
Does W5600H clean the window track?
The approved W5600H corner-brush function concerns glass around the bumper-sensor contact area. It does not establish track-cleaning capability. Treat the track as a separate task and follow the window manufacturer's care instructions.
Does touching the frame mean the robot wipes it?
No. The bumper or sensing structure can contact a boundary while the cleaning parts work on the glass. Boundary contact alone does not show that a pad or brush wipes the frame face.
Is dirt beside the bottom frame always a missed glass corner?
First identify the surface. Dirt may be on the pane, a seal, the frame or inside a track. Describe the location before deciding whether you are looking at a glass-cleaning result or a separate care task.
Does an edge-cleaning feature replace frame maintenance?
No. W5600H's bristles help contact corner glass that the main pad may not fully cover. Keep frame and track maintenance separate, and use the care guidance for those materials and components.
