Why a Replacement Pad's Cut-Outs Matter Around W5600H Corner Parts

A W5600H cleaning pad needs space around the robot's corner components. Its recessed corner edges let the cloth sit beside hardware that occupies part of the underside. Filling those recesses with extra fabric would not prove better glass coverage. The pad and the surrounding bristles make contact in different places, so judge the assembled cleaning layout rather than cloth area alone.

The corner recess is part of the pad outline

In the W5600H underside photograph, the main cloth curves inward beside the blue-bristled corner components. The cloth does not form an uninterrupted square over the whole underside. Here, a corner cut-out means that recessed outline; it does not mean an instruction to cut a replacement pad yourself.

You can see the same boundary in the close-up below. Follow the fabric edge toward the circular corner component. The cloth ends beside it, while bristles surround the component. An area without cloth can still contain another part of the cleaning system.

The cloth boundary sits beside the corner component; bristles help reach local glass outside pad contact. Concept illustration, not a cutting template or a measured coverage test.

Why adding fabric is not a corner-cleaning upgrade

A pad laid flat on a table shows its cloth area. On the robot, the cloth must share the underside with physical components. A larger piece of material cannot occupy the same position as a bumper or sensing structure.

That distinction matters if you notice an uncleaned patch near a window corner and consider covering more of the robot's underside. The robot may reach the frame while the pad stops short of glass around the bumper-sensor position. Extending cloth over that occupied position does not establish that the extra cloth will sit against the glass as intended.

Keep these three areas separate:

Area What it means
Cloth area The material in the pad, including its shaped boundary.
Hardware area Space occupied by corner components rather than the main pad.
Glass contact area The glass a cleaning part reaches in the assembled robot during use.

You cannot calculate the last row from a flat cloth outline. A photograph also cannot tell you how much clearance to add or remove. Use the pad intended for your model and follow its fitting instructions; do not fill a recess, glue on fabric or trim an uncertain replacement to make it match.

How the W5600H cleans beside that boundary

The main pad wipes the broad glass surface. Around the bumper-sensor position, the W5600H bristles help contact and clean small glass areas the pad cannot fully cover because the hardware occupies that space. This local brush contact supports more complete corner cleaning.

The brush's role explains why exposed space beside the cloth is not, on its own, proof that the robot lacks a cleaning element there. It also explains why comparing only the amount of fabric misses part of the design. The brush works around the corner structure; it is not merely sweeping somewhere along the window edge.

Frame shape, surface condition and setup still affect the result. The coloured photo overlays illustrate contact areas, not measured coverage or a promise that every corner will finish the same way. The brush-versus-pad guide explains the two cleaning roles in more detail.

A shaped edge is different from a damaged edge

Compare the contour with the original pad and exact-model documentation. A matching recess beside a corner component gives you a reference for the intended outline. A tear, loose stitching or an edge that no longer matches that reference calls for a separate condition check; do not treat it as another useful opening.

For a particular replacement, use the replacement-pad compatibility guide, which covers model identification, openings and attachment checks. The contour explanation here does not establish that an item fits.

Inspect the pad with the robot off the glass and disconnected from power. If the replacement overlaps a corner component or you cannot confirm its shape, ask for exact-model guidance before operation. Do not test the fit by running the robot on a window.

Frequently asked questions

Does a corner cut-out mean the pad is damaged?

Not by itself. The W5600H reference photograph shows a recessed cloth boundary beside its corner components. Compare your pad with the correct original reference; a tear or distorted edge needs a separate check.

Would a square pad with no corner recesses clean more glass?

Its larger cloth outline would not prove more glass contact on the assembled robot. Corner hardware still occupies physical space. Use the specified pad rather than covering that space with extra material.

Can I use the photo as a template for cutting a pad?

No. The photo shows the relationship between parts, not manufacturing dimensions or a cutting pattern. Do not alter a replacement pad to imitate it.

Does the brush make pad shape unimportant?

No. The pad remains the broad wiping surface, and its boundary still matters around the corner components. W5600H bristles add local cleaning contact where the main pad cannot fully cover the glass; they do not replace the pad or approve an unsuitable replacement.

Window Cleaning Robot: Frequently Asked Questions

What suction figure should I compare?

Compare figures with the same measurement type and conditions. The Frewico W5600X uses a high-speed vacuum fan rated at up to 8500Pa maximum fan suction, with approximately 5600Pa rated working suction during normal glass-cleaning operation. Suction alone does not establish safety or cleaning results.

Can W5600X clean frameless glass or glass doors?

W5600X has edge detection for suitable frameless-glass use cases. Suitable glass doors may also be supported when all manual conditions are met. Check flatness, dimensions, condition, coatings, safe access, tethering, and power before use.

What protection is needed for high windows?

Keep W5600X connected to power, secure its 4.5 m / approximately 14.8 ft safety rope as instructed, and supervise operation. UPS offers temporary support after accidental power interruption, not normal cordless runtime. Maintain a safe retrieval plan and follow the manual.

Does a square robot clean every corner?

The square body is intended to improve access near 90-degree corners. Pads, frame depth, clearance, moisture, and dirt affect the result; some areas may still need hand finishing. Route planning is model-specific, not determined by body shape alone.

Can I use it on materials other than glass?

Do not infer compatibility with tile, marble, metal, or other materials from suction alone. Use only the surfaces permitted by the instructions for your exact model. Contact Frewico support when compatibility is uncertain.

How do spray and pads work together?

W5600X uses dual ultrasonic spray with a quad-nozzle arrangement and two 50 ml tanks, giving 100 ml total capacity. Follow the manual's liquid and pad-preparation instructions. Clean pads and controlled moisture help routine wiping; heavy deposits may need separate treatment.
