W5600X Maintenance FAQ: Pads, Spray, Cables and Storage

For routine W5600X maintenance, inspect the pads, empty the reservoirs before storage as the manual instructs, and check the power cable and safety rope for damage. Retrieve the robot before powering down and disconnecting it for maintenance. Keep water away from electrical areas and use the care method supplied with your exact unit.

Use this FAQ to choose the next check. The linked guides explain individual procedures; this page does not provide internal repair instructions or a fixed replacement schedule.

Which care guide should I use?

Your question Start here
The pad holds dirt or no longer sits flat Pad washing and replacement
Spray is weak or absent Spray outlet care
Cleaning has finished and the robot is still on the glass Retrieval and after-use care
A cable, connector or rope looks worn Cable and safety-rope inspection
You are putting the robot away Storage between uses

How often should I wash the pads?

Inspect them after each cleaning session and during use if they start spreading residue. Wash a dirty pad by its approved care method. Check the cleaning face and attachment area before fitting it again.

Replace a pad if embedded grit remains after washing, the fabric is damaged, or the pad no longer sits flat and holds as designed. A calendar interval cannot account for differences in dirt, use and pad condition. Do not invent a machine-wash setting or detergent choice when the pad instructions do not specify one.

Should I leave water in the tanks?

The W5600X manual instructs you to pour water out of the reservoirs before storage. Follow its draining method and keep spills away from the controls, underside and power connections. Secure the reservoir plugs as instructed before the next use.

Do not apply W5600X tank-care instructions to another model without checking that model's manual.

Does weak spray mean the nozzle needs a needle?

No. Check the water level and spray setting before treating an outlet as blocked. Inspect the visible opening with the robot off the glass and disconnected from power. Do not push a needle into the outlet or open the atomizer unless the exact manual supplies that procedure.

Use the water type permitted by the W5600X instructions. Do not add vinegar, descaler or another treatment based on advice for a different appliance. Contact support if the approved checks do not resolve the problem.

Can I rinse the robot under a tap?

Do not immerse the machine or spray liquid onto it or its base. Follow the approved exterior-cleaning method and keep liquid away from electrical areas. A removable cleaning cloth's washing instructions do not apply to the robot body.

If water has reached a power connection, leave the robot disconnected and ask for model-specific support before using it again.

What damage means I should stop using it?

Stop if you find exposed conductors, a crushed or heat-damaged cable, a loose or wet connection, cuts in the safety rope, or damaged attachment hardware. Do not tape a damaged cable and return it to use. Arrange an approved replacement or authorized service.

W5600X uses plug-in power for normal cleaning. UPS protection provides temporary help after an unexpected power interruption; it does not replace a sound power connection, the safety rope or supervision.

How should I store it until the next use?

Frewico W5600X storage checklist with tanks pads cable safety rope and dry indoor storage
Store the robot only after its tanks, pads, cable, safety rope, and exterior are ready for a dry protected indoor location.

Pack the robot only when it is powered off, disconnected and dry. Wash and dry used pads, drain the reservoirs as instructed, and keep the cable loosely coiled without sharp bends. Inspect and dry the safety rope before storing it with the robot.

Choose a dry indoor location where heavy objects cannot press on the controls, connectors or spray outlets. Keep clean pads separate from used ones. Before returning to the glass, use the pre-cleaning checklist; storage does not replace inspection.

Can I use parts from another Frewico model?

Check the exact accessory listing for your model. Similar appearance does not establish fit. The W5600X replacement-parts guide explains what to confirm before ordering.

For a problem that continues after the approved care steps, record the model, the symptom and the checks you have completed. Share clear photos with Frewico support rather than opening the machine. Keep the manual supplied with your unit alongside the current W5600X product information.

Window Cleaning Robot: Frequently Asked Questions

What suction figure should I compare?

Compare figures with the same measurement type and conditions. The Frewico W5600X uses a high-speed vacuum fan rated at up to 8500Pa maximum fan suction, with approximately 5600Pa rated working suction during normal glass-cleaning operation. Suction alone does not establish safety or cleaning results.

Can W5600X clean frameless glass or glass doors?

W5600X has edge detection for suitable frameless-glass use cases. Suitable glass doors may also be supported when all manual conditions are met. Check flatness, dimensions, condition, coatings, safe access, tethering, and power before use.

What protection is needed for high windows?

Keep W5600X connected to power, secure its 4.5 m / approximately 14.8 ft safety rope as instructed, and supervise operation. UPS offers temporary support after accidental power interruption, not normal cordless runtime. Maintain a safe retrieval plan and follow the manual.

Does a square robot clean every corner?

The square body is intended to improve access near 90-degree corners. Pads, frame depth, clearance, moisture, and dirt affect the result; some areas may still need hand finishing. Route planning is model-specific, not determined by body shape alone.

Can I use it on materials other than glass?

Do not infer compatibility with tile, marble, metal, or other materials from suction alone. Use only the surfaces permitted by the instructions for your exact model. Contact Frewico support when compatibility is uncertain.

How do spray and pads work together?

W5600X uses dual ultrasonic spray with a quad-nozzle arrangement and two 50 ml tanks, giving 100 ml total capacity. Follow the manual's liquid and pad-preparation instructions. Clean pads and controlled moisture help routine wiping; heavy deposits may need separate treatment.
